At it-sa 2023, many vendors of ISMS tools were present, especially those licensed by BSI. What makes verinice so unique? verinice is the only open source tool with BSI license - the only truly open system. Requests from our customers for import filters for HiScout, DocSetMinder, SAVe and also all the others we unfortunately have to turn down, because their manufacturers produce and work in closed silos.

Only verinice has disclosed all its interfaces and sources. If you don't want to end up in a silo, it's better to choose free software and if you absolutely don't like it there, you can switch without barriers. Fortunately, a majority of federal agencies also see it that way, many state administrations or KRITIS institutions. The escrow service for source code and interfaces of SerNet GmbH is a basic component for real security and compliance and also offers advantages for upcoming regulations like NIS-2 or CRA.
