SerNet is committed to training young people in Göttingen, both in the commercial sector (dual study program for business administration) and in the field of IT (system integration and application development). SerNet trainees are supervised by Reinhild Jung for the commercial sector and Jonas Reineke for the technical professions.

In this section, we regularly place job advertisements in the fall/winter of each year for vacancies to be filled in the late summer of the following year.

We have already filled the position as an office management assistant (d/w/m) in the dual study program for 2025 - but the position for 2026 is already online.

Frontend developer for verinice

We are looking for developers for the verinice.TEAM in Berlin and Göttingen!

verinice is the only open source ISMS tool for managing information security that has licensed the BSI's basic protection catalogs and implements the ISO 27001 standard in multiple languages.

verinice is used in organizations with 10 to 100,000 employees in all industries: Automotive, Government, Public Institutions, Life Science, Pharma and many more. SerNet began implementing a completely redeveloped, modern web application in 2019. The back-end of the application is developed with Spring Boot, the front-end with Vue.js. By consistently using open source components and frameworks, we enable our customers to have the highest possible functionality and stability without being restricted by complicated licensing models or proprietary interfaces.

SerNet promotes women in technical professions - in training, in studies, in all fields of work, in staff positions and leadership.

Your duties:

Design and development of the front-end of a completely new developed web application
UI/UX design of the front-end
implementation of the front-end using Vue.js and its ecosystem
implementation of automated tests
creation of reusable code and front-end libraries

What we expect from you:

You should meet as many of the following requirements as possible:

Completed university studies or comparable training
Experience with the development of modern Javascript front-ends
Experience with Vue.js or alternatively with React or Angular.
High demands on own code quality
Linux knowledge (as server and desktop operating system)
Quick and independent familiarization with technologies you don't know yet
Understanding of current development trends such as clean code, continuous integration, DevOps or agile development
German language skills (fluent / business fluent)
English skills (good / conversational)
Initiative, commitment and sense of responsibility

Dual study

In cooperation with the VWA Göttingen SerNet offers trainees the opportunity to complete a dual course of study in business administration. The corresponding degrees can be obtained through a bachelor's degree and an IHK examination. Thanks to a special cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Göttingen, dual students can also obtain a qualified apprenticeship degree. SerNet enables this combination in all areas in which we also offer apprenticeships(office management & IT systems integration / application development).

SerNet also employs working students who are enrolled full-time (Bachelor or Master) in computer science at the Georg-August University. Alongside their studies, they work at SerNet for a third of their time, especially during the lecture-free period. In this way, students can earn the equivalent of a Bafög maximum rate and thus finance their studies themselves.

Diversity in STEM professions

SerNet strives to increase diversity in STEM occupations. The percentage of non-male workers in the technical career field is growing every year. STEM professions are considered demanding and difficult, but hold attractive benefits that make the effort put into training or studying well worth it.

The training at SerNet is aimed at mixed teams with combined competencies: the prospective specialists are taught both hard skills and soft skills within 3 years. These include, among other things, understanding the daily work in support, communication with customers and responsible committed work in a team.
