"Made in...": Trustmarks for IT Security

SerNet GmbH carries the "IT Security made in Germany" and "IT Security made in EU" seals again in 2024. The trust marks are an initiative of TeleTrusT, the German IT Security Association, and are each awarded for one year. 

Members of the association from the IT security industry pledge to comply with standards in order to obtain the seal of approval. The criteria to which SerNet is also committed include: 

• The provision of trustworthy IT security solutions,
• research and development activities for IT security that take place in Germany or within the EU,
• a clear renunciation of backdoors in all products,
• strict compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)

The "IT Security made in Germany" seal (certificate) is the result of an initiative by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and representatives of the German IT security industry. It stands for quality and reliability in the development of IT security solutions. The additional seal "IT Security made in EU" (certificate) underlines the efforts to meet not only national but also European security standards.

Since 2015, SerNet has been a member of TeleTrusT, which claims to be the largest competence association for IT security in Germany and Europe. This membership and the two trust marks demonstrate SerNet's long-standing commitment to developing secure and reliable IT solutions that meet the needs of both national and European customers.
