Directly out of the verinice lab comes the integration of ChatGPT into the new platform verinice.veo. Alexander Koderman (verinice.TEAM / SerNet GmbH) presented it at verinice.XP. The annual conference is a meeting place for users of the ISMS tool verinice, which is published by SerNet GmbH. The entire recording is available on YouTube https://verinice.com/chatgpt.
Koderman, for one, highlighted the far-reaching impact of AI, especially newer-generation language models, on information security management: "The way we analyze cybersecurity risks, implement measures, and ensure compliance will change dramatically," he argued. The use of AI-powered tools in information security management has the potential to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
On the other hand, he demonstrated how ChatGPT can be used as a "copilot." The veo Copilot as a browser plugin is his first answer to the question of how natural language interfaces can be integrated into conventional user interfaces. It can be used to test and play in the web-based verinice DSMS, which is available now. In his talk, Koderman not only shows how this works, but also takes this opportunity to give a sneak peek at the latest generation of verinice. Koderman has published the associated code for the "veo Copilot" on GitHub: https://github.com/Agh42/veo-copilot
More recordings of the verinice.XP 2023 will be gradually published on the verinice YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/verinice
