SerNet welcomes a new cohort of trainees this month: In August 2023, prospective IT specialists both for system integration and application development will start their careers with us. The dual students in the field of "Business Administration" are also already starting at the company and are looking forward to the curriculum they will be studying at the VWA Göttingen starting in October.</p>

Practical training

Our IT specialists not only gain theoretical knowledge, but also dive deep into the practical side of things. From day one, they are given smaller and larger projects with which they can work through the diverse content. They are assisted by SerNet colleagues who live and teach the broad portfolio in IT security and secure infrastructures.

The dual students aiming for a Bachelor Business Administration spend their practical time mainly in the "Administration" department. They, too, can directly apply the theoretical knowledge from their studies, for example, in accounting, sales and marketing. They can also get a taste of the specialist departments at SerNet. After two years, thanks to the cooperation between the VWA Göttingen and the Göttingen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the students have the chance to take the exams for an apprenticeship - usually "Management Assistant for Office Management". For the first time at SerNet, a new colleague is taking on the challenge of combining business studies with a technical work focus for the degree "IT specialist for system integration."

The junior staff are accompanied by SerNet's team of trainers: managing director Reinhild Jung is the designated contact for the commercial direction, while Oliver Seufer (head of internal IT) and Jonas Reineke look after the trainees in the technical fields. SerNet already trains a large part of the 25-year company history itself and thus invests in the further development of the company.
